amber, ruby, aqua and olivine stretch bracelets
I’ve always liked “baubles”. I like things that glisten and sparkle and the word “baubles” makes me think of those things. I checked the definition of  “baubles” and found that the word refers to a mock scepter carried by a court jester. It can also mean cheap, showy jewelry or ornament worn on clothing. Nothing there sounds like I should use the word for my jewelry but, even knowing the word’s definition, I still like the word “bauble”.

My “baubles” are the small glass teardrop-shaped beads from Czechoslovakia that come in a variety of colors and finishes. I enjoy making my “bauble” stretch bracelets and I enjoy wearing them too. I don’t consider my “baubles” cheap even though they are composed of inexpensive beads and findings. I thoughtfully design my jewelry items and carefully craft them so that they will last as long as possible.

Here are a few of the bracelets that I’ve crafted using my “baubles”. They come in a variety of colors. If you don’t see a color combo you want, just let me know. Also, I will custom size the bracelet to fit your wrist if you tell me your wrist size. This stretch bracelet should be worn loose so that the teardrop beads have an opportunity to stand away from your wrist.

They are just $15.00  including tax, shipping, and handling. Matching earrings are $8.00. Just contact me through my website,

Introduction:  My name is Carole and I am the owner of CEN Studios. I have been a jewelry designer for two years. Before that I was a landscape and garden designer and landscape consultant for 18 years. I still do landscape consultations on an hourly basis.

CEN Studios:  I have always loved jewelry and when I had the opportunity about two years ago to take jewelry making courses from Michelle at YaYa Designs, I took them and my life has changed completely and CEN Studios was born.

My Jewelry: I make one-of-a-kind handcrafted bead and metal jewelry using a variety of beads including gemstones, glass beads, Swarovski crystals, pearls–everything except plastic and resin. I use a variety of metals including base metals, sterling silver, silverplate, pewter, goldfill, copper and others. I use only stainless steel beading wire for my designs, even when I work mostly with seed beads. I just use the thinner wire. The stainless steel comes in a variety of widths and the wider the width the stronger the wire.

One-of-a-kind: I learned early on that I didn’t like to wear what everyone else was wearing so I always looked for something a little different in my clothing styles. Actually, when I was younger I made most of my own clothing and changed the patterns to suit me and my figure. One time when I did buy a ready-made outfit and wore it to an important function, wouldn’t you know that someone else had the same outfit on? So why wear the exact same jewelry that everyone else is wearing? That’s why I never make the exact same jewelry piece again except if requested by a customer.

Certain Styles: Sometimes I fall in love with a bead or a style of jewelry and that bead or style I will use again and again. One of my favorite beads are "baubles" - drops of any size. I especially like fairly small ones that I can obtain for a reasonable price and design them into a variety of bracelets and necklaces. You’ll see lots of "baubles" in my jewelry line. They’re fun to work with and fun to wear.

TierraCast Pewter: Another group of toggles and beads that I love to work with are the high-quality, lead-free pewter components from TierraCast. They are beautifully rendered and they are great-looking components which are less costly than sterling silver and goldfill items. I am using them more and more. I buy so much of them that I think one of my suppliers must think I am reselling them. I am not. I am using them in my own jewelry designs.
